For lack of sufficient guarantees, Waldemar Kita waives the offer to purchase, estimated at more than€ 100 Million, the club of Nantes by an investment fund in the uk.
It is the news of the day in Nantes, on the eve of resumption for the Canaries : the acquisition of NCF falls in the water ! Yet, it all seemed to be on the rails to enable the family to Kita-pass the hand and allows the arrival at the head of the club of Loire-Atlantique of the British Benjamin Leigh Hunt. But we learn by our colleagues at Ouest-France that Waldemar Kita and his entourage in the end chose not to respond to the offer of recovery, estimated at over 100 million euros.
The seriousness and credibility are not guaranteed
Waldemar Kita (president of the FSN)
The negotiations, which started since the month of February, came to an end. And it seems that the buyer has not been able to provide all the safeguards, since, according to the regional daily newspaper, the review of this project of recovery and hearing of the two parties scheduled for this Tuesday, in front of the DNCG, the ‘gendarme financier’ of the professional football League (LFP), were eventually deferred. The reason for this ? Parts missing in the file.
“Waldemar Kita, notes that the investment fund English LFE Football Group Limited, who had spontaneously presented himself as candidate for the takeover of the club does not have the minimum amount of bank guarantees required by the bodies of professional football (DNCG) to continue a discussion. Accordingly, Waldemar Kita, aware of the stakes may not continue discussions with this fund that is unable to produce a complete record of the DNCG”, informed a press release.
Often maligned, Kita refuses, however, give the keys to the club, sacred eight times champion of France, in hands as unsafe : “Waldemar Kita reaffirms its commitment to the FC Nantes, its players, its employees and its fans and will never leave the future of the club in the hands of candidates who do not assume their responsibilities, and whose seriousness and credibility are not guaranteed.”
