The Graët on the reform of the LDC : “It is not necessary that we miss out on the new organization”
This morning, at the headquarters of the FFF, a meeting of crisis of the gratin of Ligue 1 clubs (except for the AS Monaco) has taken place in order to discuss the reform of the champions League scheduled for 2024. In an interview with the Parisien.fr, Noël Le Graët, the president of the FFF is back on this meeting.
“It was more a meeting to exchange because everyone does not have the same level of information. There was, therefore, particularly Florence Hardouin, the director general of the FFF who is on the executive committee of the UEFA, but also Jean-Michel Aulas, who is very close to the european body, he explains. We wanted to know if all had understood the same thing before, may be, to request an appointment to UEFA to express a French commune.“
The Graët was explained to be a little worried by this new reform : “Yes, a bit. When large changes, it is necessary to pay attention to. It has not done enough a few years ago and we ended up with less-qualified europeans being in fifth position at the index of UEFA. It is not necessary that we miss out on the new organization if it is put in place. But it will not be as easy as it is to pass, the judge, the boss of French football. I’m not sure that the clubs and small ways, and this is not a pejorative on my part, be prepared to accept it. The big clubs are always ready to win more money and play all day if they could. It is necessary to provide important meetings before the end of the year because these are decisions that will be taken in the month of November.”
